This humpback whale mother positions herself like a fortress of power and grace, shielding her calf with a quiet yet unmistakable ferocity. Her massive body arches upward as the calf, small yet curious, hovers safely on the other side of her. It's almost as if there is an unspoken certainty that no harm will come while she is near. As the sunrises, it dances through the banyan tree branches. Such a large root structure, one can only speculate how old she is. But what I do know is, when you are in her presence, time slows down and everything seems to be alright.
